Introduction to the intended use:  soldiers and security staff who have to be able to react flexibly and quickly in changing situations require a suitable communications infrastructure to ensure their own coordination and to perform their mission.

Hand-held radio sets are practically indispensible in situations in which all those involved require maximum mobility and the immediate exchange of information: these situations include surveillance tasks and management tasks in the event of critical operations.

This equipment must be easy to use yet be technically advanced and versatile in order to provide troops with the advantage they need to complete their mission both successfully and safely.

Easy, comfortable operation:
 
Fast and easy to use:
Normally, only the push-to-talk (PTT) button needs to be activated for even beginners to communicate reliably.
 
High operational safety:
In basic mode, the settings for frequencies, codes, etc. are locked and cannot be accidentally changed. This rules out operating errors.

Selection of the radio networks:
Depending on the organisational conditions, the device can be operated in pre-selected networks. Relevant IDs are used to identify the individual radio networks.
 
Generation of field codes:
It is also possible to spontaneously generate field codes for highly sensitive communication tasks and only be given to certain subscribers by means of infrared interface.
 
Transmission of setting data via infrared interface:

Interoperability with other radio networks:
In analogue clear mode, it can communicate with other VHF radio sets.
 
Simultaneous communication in 2 radio networks:
Instead of communicating in two different networks using two separate devices, Pentacom makes it possible to communicate in two different networks using one device. Radio communication can be heard simultaneously in both networks. To send, the relevant network must be selected.
