In the process of engraving greyscale images such as photographs, markings etc. the intensity of the laser beam must be accurately modulated by an external device.
One typically employs a so-called AOM-Q-switch that reads its signal from a custom high-frequency driver. Such drivers must exhibit temperature stability, robustness, linearity, etc. in order to lead to the best possible engraving.
The QST-27/24 Q-switch driver developed by DEUTSCHE ELNO satisfies all of the requirements described above. The device possesses very good modulation characteristics for an output of up to 85 Watt. Moreover, its small dimensions mean that it is easily integrated into a larger system.
